ABACUS Project Coordinator - Instructional Management System 
The project focuses on utilizing the ABACUS Instructional Management Program to assist educators in  the development of curriculum based assessments, and developing meaningful educator, parent, and student reports for adjusting instruction to meet the  needs of students. 

1997 - 1998  Sarasota County Public Schools, Sarasota, Florida 
County Curriculum Coordinator Elementary Division 
Coordinating new programs and implementing curriculum for grades K-5, training  teachers, administrators, and school community participants in all curricular areas. Assisting in School Improvement Programs with School SAC Teams. 

1997 – 1998 Manatee Community College Instructor 
Instructor – Instructional Technology for the Classroom 

1995  - 1997   Sarasota County Public Schools, Sarasota, Florida 
Classroom Teacher Grade 5 and Goals 2000 School Coordinator 
Working with the District’s Goals 2000 Project in Authentic Assessment assisted in the publication of the district projects through editing and developing activities for teacher use. Teacher Grade 5 responsible for instruction in language arts, mathematics, science and history/ social studies. 
 

1992 – 1995  Southern  Kern Unified School District,  Rosamond, California 
Assistant Superintendent of Schools 
Supervising the K-12 Programs consisting of two elementary, one middle, one high school, and two alternative education programs and one adult education program.  Developed and established the following programs: 
 
 

  •  Reformed curriculum focusing on developing performance based assessment. 
  •  Managed and lead the Districtwide School Improvement Program. 
  •  Parent Education through “Developing Capable People”

    Principal – Hamilton Middle School 
    Developed a team of educators to establish a middle school in 1988.  The original team of ten
    teachers expanded in three years to 37 teachers, and 14 support staff members. 
     
     

  •  Established and maintained an effective and progressive Student Discipline Model 
  •  Developed a Model Program Friday Night Live ( In cooperation with the community Services Office) 
  •  Developed Saturday Night Basketball Program for both boys and girls, and other innovative community programs in music and athletics

    Teacher Summer Instructor,  ESOL 
    Taught English language acquisition to  elementary and high school students four weeks each summer in conjunction with youth missions program. Responsible for developing curriculum and training teachers and non-teachers in delivering instruction to students seeking to learn English as a Second Language.

    It is my mission to pursue excellence in my position as an educator in order to ensure that all students: acquire and apply information; communicate effectively; hold high expectations for themselves and others; interact cooperatively to establish positive human relationships; engage in thinking; reasoning and problem solving; value and respect diversity in a multicultural society; establish habits for emotional. physical and social well being in order to become lifelong learners who will serve as responsible members of a global community. 

    Learning as a life long process, must take place in a nurturing, safe atmosphere of mutual respect in which educators, students, staff and parents work together embracing "Best Practices" in education.  As a member of the community of learners, I will endeavor to foster high expectations, instructional leadership, and excellence in teaching to create an environment in which all students achieve, all teachers and school related employees succeed and the community at large perceives their responsibility to public education as an ethical, moral, and social compact.
